CID Lieutenant

Supervise the day to day operations of the Criminal Investigations Division; Including assigning cases to investigators, assists in training of personnel; assists in examination and interview process for Criminal Investigation Division Personnel; assists in timely presentation of criminal cases to district attorney’s office. This position is also responsible as a supervisor role to criminal investigations unit, the Sheriff’s Office Academy, the Property Room, and Quartermaster. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED ; EXPERIENCE: A valid Advanced Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Qualifications: Five (5) years experience law enforcement or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge. Physical assessment will be required consisting of: A one mile run under 12:30 minutes, 20 pushups in 1 minute, 20 sit ups in 1 minute. Firearms qualification with department issued weapon prior to interview. Salary: $75,772.32 To be considered for the position, an online application will need to be submitted.
