Polar Plunge 2026
Donations are being accepted for the January 2026 Polar Plunge. The Polar Plunge is a signature fundraising campaign for Special Olympics Texas. This year, Chief Gilliam has agreed to take the plunge if Lubbock County Sheriff’s Deputies raise $1,000. (The chief may not have known the deputies recruited the website admin to help in their efforts).

Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial Fundraising
The Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial preserves the memory of the Public Responders who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to honor those who continue to serve and protect the citizens of their communities. It honors EMS, Fire, and Peace Officers who have given their life in the line of duty. The LCSO helps raise funds for the upkeep of this memorial by selling challenge coins for $10 each.
